All washed up…
The Castle Bude Museum and Heritage centre in North Cornwall contacted oh design to help add additional interactive elements to existing displays in their newly renovated heritage centre. This is part of an ongoing program, updating the displays to help engage and reach out to a family audience .
We worked on a number of possible strategies for their local geology and natural history areas focusing in on coastal erosion and environmental issues. We designed a number of concepts, subject to funding applications, which resulted in producing a series of new interactive displays over a period of time. The ‘All Washed Up’ 3 meter birch plywood flip display, with laser engraved wooden discs was an addition to the existing wall mounted collage linking the found materials with their effects and consequences on Cornwall’s local beaches.
We are enjoying the ongoing work with the heritage centre and are working on their next display for 2013.
