Engaging the public…
Truro Uncovered was an engaging exhibition developed through HLF funding and Truro City Council exploring the rich hidden history of the city of Truro. Through multi sensory exhibits and interactives the exhibition engaged the public in a vibrant and up lifting exhibition.
We worked closely with lead graphic agency Gendall to win a highly competitive pitch. We helped develop a number of creative design responses to the brief resulting in a suite of interactives and displays. With the rugged texture of wooden pallets evoking Truro’s strong trading heritage we created modular exhibition panels which made up the walls of the exhibition. Each section housed historical objects and large format display panels. We recreated the smells of bustling markets by using a range of scents including tea and fish embedded in vintage barrels. Children could navigate the Carrick Roads through a pin ball map interactive. We created a number of cost-effective displays using a mix of media including a waterfront timeline and a scaled Cornish lugger.
